Where The Wild Things Are

If you are reading this review, then you have most likely read others before me and hopefully you are convinced NOT to bring your kids to see it. Now with that understanding, let me say why I wish I hadn't wasted my money on it (AHHH $41 at the IMAX!!!.
I've seen many very well done movies and doc**entaries about the minds of insane people. It has enlightened me to their suffering, their plight, and in the end the devastation their mental illness causes to their lives - and the lives of those around them. This movie, in my opinion, is about a child who has some "serious issues." He is violent, moody and possibly delusional. This movie was disturbing not because of the boy - but because I felt like the movie FROM the mind of an insane person! It rarely had a moment you could connect with, or that didn't make you feel uncomfortable or confused. Is that what insanity feels like?
